HV850 FibreScreed™ System — a surface-reinforcing, crack-suppressant fibreglass mesh screed — is embedded beneath the visible surface to help prevent cracks from telegraphing through finished work. Unlike more open, coarse meshes, HV850 features a fine weave that offers superior dimensional stability and smoother integration within the substrate. Designed in Germany and tailored for our work, this high-performance system combines excellent diagonal tensile strength with low organic content and breathability.
For best results, HV850 is installed as part of a complete reinforcement build-up, using our recommended flexible skim coat to embed the mesh, unify the surface, and create a stable, even plane before priming and finish coats begin. Whether applied over new plaster, or layered over walls with years of history and multiple substrates, the HV850 system acts as a resilient barrier — shielding decorative finishes from structural movement and helping reduce the likelihood of future repairs.
